HDEL - Upstash Documentation

Use HDEL to remove one or more fields from a hash.

The reply counts only the fields that were actually present, so deleting a field that is already gone is not an error. When the last field of a hash is removed the key itself is deleted, because Redis does not keep empty collections.

Syntax#

HDEL <key> <field> [<field> ...]

Arguments#

Response#

The reply reports the result of the operation. Error replies have the same shape in RESP2 and RESP3 and are surfaced as exceptions by the SDKs below.
