ACL LOAD - Upstash Documentation

Use ACL LOAD to make sure the node you are connected to has the latest ACL users and rules.

Standard Redis reads ACL LOAD from an aclfile on disk. This deployment has no such file: instead, ACL LOAD refreshes this node's in-memory copy of the ACL definitions from the primary, which is useful right after a failover or when reconnecting to a node that may be slightly behind. Changes made with ACL SETUSER and ACL DELUSER are already propagated to replicas automatically, so LOAD is rarely needed in normal operation.

Arguments#

This command takes no arguments.

Important points#

There is no ACL file to load from; this refreshes the node's ACL state from the primary instead.

Response#

The reply reports the result of the operation. Error replies have the same shape in RESP2 and RESP3 and are surfaced as exceptions by the SDKs below.

Note

Client libraries often decode bulk strings, maps, sets, and numeric strings into language-native values. The table describes the Redis wire reply.

Examples#

TCP examples use the TLS REDIS_URL from the Upstash console. REST examples use UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL and UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_TOKEN.
